Ukhozi Lodge captures the romance and intimacy of the African bush, offering a luxurious safari lodge experience at Kariega Game Reserve. Superbly sculptured from stone, wood and glass, this stylish and uniquely designed lodge blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Spectacular views and a beautiful rim-flow pool overlook the valley and river plains, while meandering bush paths connect 10 luxurious suites, each offering complete privacy, breathtaking views and a private plunge pool.
Ukhozi Lodge guests can enjoy the Blue Duiker Trail - a circular walk that takes between 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The trail follows the side of a ridge and includes an indigenous forest and open area with views onto the valley. There are environmental education signs at various points along the trail to provide information about the animals and birds that live in that area.
Safari Lodge Suites
10 luxury suites with a private plunge pool and deck offering panoramic views of the valley. Each suite enjoys a spacious en-suite bathroom and is fully air-conditioned.

Having never been on a (family) safari holiday before we were unsure as to what to expect in terms of both the set up and the wildlife. We shouldn't have doubted anything. This place is something else. We are still buzzing. We stayed 5 nights at the Ukhozi Lodge.
Yes. The animals are there. And it's pretty awesome being a few feet away from lions, elephants and rhinos. But it's equally brilliant seeing some of the less fashionable creatures close up.
