Antony Mulligan, General Manager for Kariega Game Reserve

Antony has spent his life engaging in his passions for sport and the African bush.

Raised and educated in KwaZulu-Natal, his love for the bush inspired him to build a career in field guiding, guide training, ecology, and safari lodge and reserve management.

Together with his wife, Kalinka, Antony has managed some of Africa's most award-winning safari lodges and helped design and develop exceptional safari destinations.

Throughout his career, Antony has worked closely with family-owned and operated private reserves. He is dedicated to bringing Kariega's family values and vision into every aspect of safari lodge management, creating an atmosphere of warmth, authenticity and genuine hospitality.

Kalinka Mulligan, Hospitality Manager for Kariega Game Reserve

Kalinka Mulligan, Antony's wife and Hospitality Manager, has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Born and raised in southern KwaZulu-Natal, she initially studied marketing and public relations before pursuing a career in hospitality and safari lodge management.

Her passion for hospitality was sparked after meeting her husband, Antony, leading her to specialise in lodge design, décor and guest experiences. Together, they have built successful careers managing family-owned safari lodges in the African bush.

Today, Kalinka is passionate about developing her team and delivering exceptional guest experiences across Kariega's five safari lodges. Her goal is to ensure every guest feels that Kariega is their home away from home.
