Antony Mulligan, General Manager for Kariega Game Reserve

Antony has spent his life engaging in his passions for sport and the African bush.

He was raised and educated in Kwa-Zulu Natal.  After school his love for the bush encouraged him to pursue a career in field guiding and guide training which led into ecology, lodge and reserve management.

Together with his wife, Kalinka, they have managed some of the top award-winning lodges in Africa and helped design and build some amazing destinations.

Antony has always worked hand in hand with family owned and operated, private reserves.  He endeavours to infuse the family dream and vision into all aspects of reserve management and create an atmosphere of warmth and family hospitality.

Kalinka Mulligan, Hospitality Manager for Kariega Game Reserve

Kalinka Mulligan, Antony's wife and Hospitality Manager, has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Born and raised in southern Kwa-Zulu Natal, she initially studied marketing and public relations before transitioning to hospitality and lodge management.

Her passion for hospitality was ignited after meeting her husband, Antony, which led her to further studies and a focus on lodge design and decor.  Together they have built their careers managing family-owned destinations in the African bush, where they are most happy.

Today, Kalinka excels in up-skilling staff and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction across five beautiful lodges at Kariega Game Reserve.  She aspires to her guests feeling like Kariega is their home away from home.
