Video: After the Lion Kill at Kariega

This short video was taken at Kariega Game Reserve in 2012 soon after a kill on the game park. Not for the faint hearted - it features a lion pride tucking into an early morning kill in the Eastern Cape wilderness of South Africa. At the point the video was taken, the male would have already had his fill, and he presides over the feasting while the females and younger members fight over the remaining tasty bits. As the ranger mentions in the video, this includes the highly sought after internal organs.
